Description

When walking along Dahabs promenade you will notice a decayed Hotel in prime location, right at the famous "Lighthouse" diving spot. This is the Sirtaki Hotel and Dive Center, or rather: it was. The complex was run by an egyptian-german couple until 2008. In February 2008 it was squatted by Bedouins who claimed outstanding debts. Reports range from peaceful sit-ins to violent robbery and plunder.
